Tomorrow, April 9th, Fashion With Impact is hosting a Launch Party for the “Refashen” collection at Simmons College from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. The collection will be on sale at the Simmons College Bookstore through Mid-May.
The ReFashen collection brings together the talents several local designers focused on refashion, featuring unique garments made from recycled fashions. The collection specializes in refashioned dresses & skirts, the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day & being green this Spring!
The launch party will feature live models showing the collection, as well as debut the Fashion With Impact documentary! Come by to see the collection & get inspired by ethical fashion!

If the girl that made your skirt ain’t paid
You cannot say its beautiful
If the girl that stitched it gets no living wage
you cannot say it’s useful
If the boy that dyed your dress got breathless in the chemicals
You cannot say it’s colourful
If the man that bleached the cotton white now coughs blood every single night
You cannot say its cool
If the dye that stained your dress now runs in lifeless rivers
you cannot say it’s fresh
If the fish and plants and soil and crop are dead
You cannot say its best
If their water source is full of bleach and dyes and tired eyes sting every night and back pains ache in rightless nights of pointless fights from
no sick pay,
no weekends,
no holidays,
no toilet breaks,
no window slates, no living wage, no workers rights, no human rights, no light, no outside time to run around in rivers drinking water bleached in chemicals
